We started as KJEM Brilliant Kidz Student Centre in 2019

KJEM Academy began with a humble yet meaningful purpose, it started as a student care (daycare) centre in Singapore, officially incorporated in September 2019. With a simple initiative has since grown into a mission-driven educational institution rooted in care, community, and purpose.

​

The foundation of KJEM Brilliant Kidz Centre was led by Ms. Meg Tongio, together with the unwavering support of her husband Rex, her family, and a dedicated group of founding members; Everly, Juvie, Menchie, Liza, Wilma, Joy, Chet, Alice, and many others. United by shared experiences, this group of mothers came together with one vision: to create a nurturing educational support system for children.

Guided by faith and strengthened by life’s challenges, what once felt like limitations became opportunities. Through God’s wisdom, their struggles were transformed into a meaningful solution; a homey, safe, and joyful learning environment designed to support children before and after school hours.

​

The inspiration behind KJEM was deeply personal. As working parents with demanding careers, Meg and her husband, Rex faced the challenge of finding reliable and nurturing edu-care centre for their son, Kimi. Their experience reflected a common reality among many migrant families in Singapore, raising children away from extended family support while balancing full-time careers.

​

Recognizing this gap, Meg found comfort in a community of like-minded mothers who initially gathered for simple weekend playdates. What began as a small support group gradually evolved into a purposeful social enterprise. Together, they built a space where children are not only cared for, but also empowered to grow, learn, and thrive.

Despite challenges along the journey, Meg’s resilience and vision led to the establishment of KJEM Academy in 2024, marking a new chapter of growth and expansion. Today, KJEM has evolved into a group of companies committed to holistic development and community impact.

• KJEM Academy delivering preparatory courses for admission to Singapore local schools (AEIS Review Programme), and ACE K–12 Curriculum (Kinder and Primary) Programme. KJEM Academy is committed to partnering with parents and guardians in delivering affordable, quality, and holistic education that nurtures every child’s unique potential. We provide an inclusive learning environment where neurotypical and neurodivergent learners thrive together in the same space, fostering empathy, collaboration, and mutual growth.

• KJEM Brilliant Kidz Hub providing student care services, edu-care, daycare, preschool with early intervention and theraphy programme for adaptive behaviour, speech delay and occupational theraphy. KJEM Brilliant Kidz Centre offers a holistic and dynamic curriculum that goes beyond academics. The programme includes structured play, field trips, camps, preparatory classes, daily academic support, early intervention programmes, and a wide range of enrichment activities such as arts, music, dance, cooking, robotics, coding, public speaking, and financial literacy. Each programme is thoughtfully designed to nurture lifelong skills, unlock potential, and ignite every child’s passion.

KJEM Academy is already registered as a Private Education Institution (PEI) formerly known as CPE.
